katsuhiro makino of Aski Kataski uses antique materials and commonplace garments from the 19th century To the 1940’s to create his work. The name of the label derives from incantation “aski-kataski-haix-tetrax-damnameneus-aision” which means “darkness, light, earth, sun, and truth”
As ancient priests used to recite these words to protect people from devils, makino hopes his creation becomes a talisman of people who wear his clothes—
